    Multiple BSODs with formatted HDD

A relative asked me to look at her computer which was getting BSOD on boot, it's quite new so still under warranty, but I'm determined to sort it out now.

Its a Samsung RV520, with Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

When I first booted it, it would get just past the W7 loading animation then BSOD, with no specific error, just a STOP code and the usual message.

I tried the stock recovery option, safe modes, and was getting various BSODs:

    Process1_initialization_failed
    Memory management
    Bad pool header

and again sometimes the one with no error.

I then tried the (supplied) W7 recovery disc, repairing or restoring both resulted in BSOD every time.

I took the HDD out, plugged it into my own PC, did a virus scan and disk cleanup, still got a BSOD every time I tried any of the above.

Tried to install a new copy of windows on an empty partition, got BSOD.

Formatted all the previous drives (except for the Samsung OEM reserved one), and still it sticks on "Expanding Windows files 0%" when installing, then BSOD's before any progress happens.

I've also factory reset the BIOS.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm all out.

Thanks in advance, and please feel free to request any further information.

Ya. Take it back. There is no point try to figure out a problem on a new computer. You could spend weeks trying to figure it out and never come up with an answer. You'll end up having to swap hardware, which would be silly since you can get a free replacement. Save yourself the hassle and just do a warranty exchange.
