    BSOD when unplugging ethernet

It's the weirdest thing.. If I disconnect the ethernet plug from the computer, it will blue screen. Every time.

Based on the blue screen info and the searches I have done on the error, it seems there is something wrong with the Nvidia drivers? I have went to every resource I could to make sure all drivers are up to date.. but nothing seems to be working.

I have been trying to troubleshoot this for a while.. but I kept giving up. I am turning to the fourms for help since I can come up with no solution.

Here are the computer specs - required files are attached. Please let me know if I need to provide anything else. Thanks in advance!

    Specs
    - Installed: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    - Originally: Windows Vista 64-bit
    - Windows Vista came on the system, but it came with free Windows 7 upgrade discs, so it was upgraded.

    - System is just over 2 years old
    - Windows 7 installed just over a year ago

Your attachment does not include the crash reports. It only includes the executable for getting the crash reports. Please follow the https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html closer to supply us with the correct files so we may better assist you. Thank you. :)

    Opps..

Sorry! I grabbed the wrong file.. :P

I am trying to upload the new zip file and it is saying "upload of file failed" :/

Should I just wait and try again later? It's only a 2mb file..

Yes, wait and try again later. There have been server problems for these forums over the past few days, and the administrators should have them sorted out soon.

These are all stop 0x116 VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE conditions.

It's not a true crash, in the sense that the bluescreen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception.

Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OSs like XP to crash. As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds. If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD.

If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating. Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU. Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference. If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup and subsequently inadequate cooling.
