Isolating Bad sectors on system disk after recovering them with HDDreg
Hello Windows 7 expertises,
how can I isolate semi-damaged sectors on the windows system disk ?
computer start freezing for some actions (like reading the fonts) and I thoght about hd problems, I runned a HDDreg that I have in a bootable USB and discovered that 8 sectors (from 704920 to 704927, around 450 Mb) where Bad, I recover with HDDreg and working again.
The thing, I am on the go and I do not have time to change hard disk and install all from fresh, so I would like to prevent it from failing. So I would like to isolate or mark those sectors (and few near) to not be used by the system
Is that possible?
How should I do it ?
I presume that using chkdsk is of not so much use, as hddreg "recover" this sectors.
I just run CrystalDiskInfo to tell me what I know: CAUTION !!
with Reallocated Sectors Count as Current:100 Worst:100 Threshold:50 RAW:00000008
Disk is a TOSHIBA MK5075GSX Disk Size : 500.1 GB (8.4/137.4/500.1)
With Power On Hours : 10817 hours and Power On Count : 242 count
(I notice now I have post it in the wrong category, please move to the right one if you need, sorry)
