BSOD happening all of a sudden

    My first instinct is a power supply problem. What PSU do you have?

    Can you fill out your system specs more completely in your profile?

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 2.66
    XFX Nforce 750I
    4 GB Corsair XMS 6400
    EVGA Geforce GTX550 Ti

    Thermaltake 500W PSU
      My Computer

    That power supply should be enough assuming your other peripherals are also rated for it and the PSU is functioning properly. The minimum for your graphics card is 400 W: GeForce GTX 550 Ti - Specifications - GeForce

    Can you complete the installation with the older card plugged in? Does the crash display which driver is causing problems?
