The temps are spiking when I use video or something that uses a lot of graphic power.
What to do now?
No Minidump?

Can you post the regular Core Temp app with min/max temps?
Looks like your CPU needs new thermal paste, do you have any?
If not then get some and apply it, this link will explain the method.

Did you follow the tutorial I posted on how to set the crash dump to save the file?
How to Configure Windows to Create a Dump File when you get a BSOD
Dave
I must remind you there was no BSOD. There was no crash dump files created.
The system just crashed and got stuck on Post page and I had to disconnect the SSD to reboot the system.
Thermal paste I'll have to rummage around for that. But I think there is some here somewhere.
Only problem is the computer is being used to create a backup of my Linkstation and that will take another 24 hours.
Better watch the temps.
It might have generated a dump file if the settings were correct.
Go through the tutorial and set them to save the mini-dump and have it not re-boot automatically, this is what prevents the crash dumps from being saved.
Apparently the reason for no minidump files is because one wasn't created due to the fact it was not a BSOD and had no time to create one.
BTW Thanks again Dave.

I have to wait on this one as I need some Thermal paste.
Well I've put some fresh Thermal paste on the CPU and now find that my temps are being recorded. I had to change the CMOS battery as well as that went flat. Was CMOS battery the cause?
