BSOD BCcode: 124 while playing games

I would like to say "hello!" to everyone here as this is my first topic on these forums. I was "forced" to make an account and start this thread because I'm experiencing a very annoying error on my new pc.

    First, the error text:
    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1048

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 124
    BCP1: 0000000000000000
    BCP2: FFFFFA80079CA4B8
    BCP3: 0000000000000000
    BCP4: 0000000000000000
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\011612-12261-01.dmp
    C:\Users\RaptoR\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-27284-0.sysdata.xml

    =================
    Link for the dump:
    011612-12261-01.dmp
    =================

Now, let me explain. I mainly get this error when playing games. TDU2 and Skyrim are just 2 of the games i played and encounter this error.
In Skyrim the screen freezes and I get some stripes (kinda different from the stripes I got some years ago when my graphic card was faulty, so I guess they're not artefacts from video card problems).
In TDU the screen just goes black.
The only sollution is to restart the PC, and after I do that I get that error text comming up.

Now, like every sane person, first thing I did was to check the temperatures and the voltages. The proc stays at around 40 in idle and 55-60 full load (alt tab when playing a game). The GPU reaches about 60-70 full load, but the fan isn't spinning top speed which tells me it can handle a way bigger temperature.

The voltages are also pretty ok (the normal +-5%)

Now, next step was to google my problem. Man I was happy when I saw there are loads of threads on the subject. Said to myself that will be easy to fix it, but found out the error is caused by many things and what applied to others, didn't applied to me.

What I tried based on recomandations from the other forums/topics:
-stressed my proc to the limits with prime95. The temp stays somewhere under 75 degrees after 2-3 hours of running prime. Tried every test, and my proc passed them all, without crashing or anything.

-next step was the ram. First I check with the Windows 7 tool, 2 passes, extended test. Passed. Next I checked with memtest. Left it running for abut 4 hours (closed it 20 mins ago), without any single error.

-double check every setting in BIOS, every reverting to defaults and then tampering with settings some more. The proc is on stock frequency (fsb266, multiplier x12), memory is downclocked, from 1600 to 1333 (my mobo only supports DDR3 1333).

-Double check every single cable in the pc, including the power supply ones. Removed the dvd-rw and my secondary IDE HDD just to make sure.

After all that, 5 mins before beginning to write this topic, BAM! played TDU2 for 30 mins and got the freeze.

So, where should I go from here? All the components are brand new, bought like... 1 month ago and have warranty. I just need to identify the faulty component so I can go change it.

    P.S.
I don't always get the error fast. Sometimes I play 3-4 hours w/o getting it, sometimes after 20 mins.

I`m willing to install/uninstall anything, but please, PLEASE let's leave "Reinstall Windows" as a last solution

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help and sorry if my English is not stellar. I`m not a native English speaker.

    Nice post...
    Your research noted too.

    A
stop error of 0x124 is a general hardware error .
A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress
    Some generic advice.

If you are overclocking STOP. Return to the default settings at least for now.
If you are running a RAID update its driver.

You can read more on this error and what to try here...

Hello JMH and thank you for your advice

My proc as well as my GPU are running at stock frequency. I have read the specification for both of them and they are at exactly that.
I am not running any RAID. I just have a 500gigs SATA2 hdd in now. My other hdd is an 160gb ata hdd I manly keep for transfer purposes between pc and laptop and it's curently out of the case.

Thanks for that link. I already red all that is there, before creating this topic.
    1) Like I said, i didn't OC anything

    2) Temperature in idle as well as in load are acceptable. So no temp problems

    3) Every driver is up to date. Even sound driver or lan driver.

    4) Strange that I forgot to mention in the first post, but did a bios update to the latest official bios just a few hours before my last error

    5) Windows is updated through Windows Update

    6) Did everything on this step. Checked ram, stressed proc, checked HDD

    7) Like I said, I would like to keep this as a last resort
    8) Opened the case few hours before the test, pulled out and reinserted every component and cable.

    9) Only component I can remove now would be one piece of ram, then the other. But that would take a long amount of time, because, like I said, I can go 2-3 days w/o the error. And taking into consideration I check, and literally double check the ram, I don't think the problem is there.

    Any more advices? Thanks!

    EDIT:
Would it help you guys if I do this: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html ?

    If you are getting BSOD's...

We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

    If you are overclocking STOP.

You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

    The procedure:
    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
*If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.
    To ensure minidumps are enabled:
    * Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
    * Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
    * Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
    * Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
    * Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.
    * OK your way out.
    * Reboot if changes have been made.

    Thank you for your reply.
The minidump you ask for can be found in the first post, uploaded to Mediafire. The settings in the Startup and Recovery tab was the same as the ones you suggested, except for Write Debugging Information with was set on Kernel Dump, instead of Small memory dumb.

Just in case I set that on Small Memory Dump and now I wait for another crash so I can upload that as well. May take from 1-2 hours to 1-2 days.

    > DMP in Post 1 examined and showed general hardware distress.
Suggest we wait for the next DMP to eventuate.
Submit it when it does please.

To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
    SFC /SCANNOW

It may need to be run up to three times before successful

Let us know the results from the report at the end.

After some good days without the error, 5 minutes ago, BANG! again. As usual, i was on stock frequencies on everything (memory, CPU, GPU), so we rule out an OC problem.
