Greetings,
Iam posting here again unsure if I should have started a new thread for this issue or not. However I still have not solved the problem in question. I have updated all drivers, followed other forums for a fix and after a month of fartting around waiting, I have yet to discover what is wrong... It doesn't appear to be a BSOD crash but a black screen-machine powers down then restart by itself... Do I post a BSOD zip anyway? If anybody has any suggestions I would super appreciate it
Thanks so much,
Dank
Yes, please post the BSOD zip anyway. It has logs of your system and application errors that may indicate the fault.
Thanks for your reply,
I recently tried loading default settings on my bios to disable the over clocking as suggested by SWTOR and I still had a restart of my machine. I got a notice of your reply so attatched the requested zip file. hope you can help.
Regards,
Dank
You have a number of event ID 10 errors. See Event ID 10 is logged in the Application log after you install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 for information about the error and a solution.
Event ID 10 errors are common and not likely to be the cause of your crashes, but it is still a good idea to eliminate them.
There are some side by side errors that can probably be fixed by uninstalling all Visual C++ Redistributables and then installing them again. You need both the 64-bit and 32-bit (x86) versions for a 64-bit system. After uninstalling through Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Uninstall a program, install the following:After you have installed the above, check Windows updates for the service packs and security patches for each redistributable.
Greetings,
I got around to following the steps provided and I do not know if I did so correctly or at all. once completed I launched the game crashed again. I have had this problem from day 1 4 months ago and the frustration has faded... I just wish I knew what is causing this issue. Please lrt me know if you have any suggestions on how to proceed.
Thank you

May be a good idea to check for Windows file corruption.
- Run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker up to three times to fix all errors with a restart in between each. Post back if it continues to show errors after a fourth run or if the first run comes back with no integrity violations.
Greetings,
Thanks for your reply.
The scan turned up no violations.

The other fixes tried wasfrom swtor site and sevenfoums)
-Set bios to default settings
-CHKDSK/MEMTEST
-windows mem diagnostic(may have had shown registry errors)
-uninstall/reinstall game files
-disable anti-aliasing/vert sync on GPU and in game
I have yet to suspect the hardware because the machine is basically brand new and the only time I hav had any issue is while playing swtor, I have played command and conquer with no problems for hours keeping in mind that this game is not as graphically intense.
please let me know if you require more info or have suggestions on where to go from here.
Thank you,
Dank
