    Latest Crash dump, Happened again while doing the usual multitasking, playing movie, file transfer Internet explorer. Although I must admit if I try to force a crash it's becoming alot more difficult..

    I just tried forcing a crash while doing all of the above in safe mode and it wouldnt crash no matter what I tried.

    Furmark is more to test what temperatures you get when stressing the GPU.
    FurMark Setup:
    - If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
    - In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
    Click "Go" to start the test
    - Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
    - Click "Quit" to exit

    Had another two crashes over the last two days , One chrah occured while I was running the SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker in dos and the other while playing a movie.     I'm just trying to narrow it down but going over what I have just read I think I've widened the error scale.

    Never the less, I will run the rest of the prescibed tests tonight and post the result.
    There are a number of possible causes for crashes, so I cannot state any conclusions to your post. If you built the machine yourself, possible build errors do include incorrectly connecting components.

    They also include electrostatic discharge (ESD) into components. Avoid Static Damage to Your PC | PCWorld may be interesting further reading. To sum up the article, you do not have to feel the ESD for it to damage components. We feel ESD at ~1400-4000 Volts (that link says 3500-4000 Volts, but it varies based on the climate and how dry it is). When components receive a shock that we cannot feel, they can work for a time and failure symptoms will show up later, leading to the user wondering why the system is suddenly failing.

    Another possible custom-built problem we see on these forums is failure of low-grade power supply units to meet the requirements needed by components in the system.

    You mention the Windows version as another source. What do you mean by this? Where did you obtain your version of Windows?

    I's about 85% sure the BSOD problem is now fixed... thats still not 100% but non the less, pretty good.

    I uninstalled Bitdefender as you wisely suggested and still havent installed any anti-virus yet, will dos so now though.

    I thought I would update the integrated graphics accelerator driver which I D/L from Intel's site as opposed to Asus where i was previously d/l my drivers from, and that seems to have fixed the issue thus far. I have had 2 movies playing at on with, had i/e open opened programs of all sorts and still didn't get get the BSOD.

    I am still expecting one though... I'll give it a week at least before I celebrate... I might even take a holiday if this works.

    ...Actually I spoke too soon, I have attached the dump file and another dumpfile generated by blue screen view, maybe it will help I'm not sure

    I will go ahead with the prime 95 test tomorrow when I get enough time.

    The sfc/scannow came up with "no integrity violations", or what ever it usually says.

    I probably should add, I did a clean re-install of windows, mainly due to the fact that I had downloaded so much freeware to try and resolve this issue and wanted to start off fresh... untill it happened again..

    I have been receiving a high number of BSOD lately, and still haven't had the chance to be home long enough to run prime95 and monitor my system at the same time so I decided to test my RAM again just in case, I ran MEMTEST86+ one stick at a time and both showed no errors. so i booted my system with one stick and got BSOD's like no tomorrow, I then removed that stick and put the second stick in, went through my usual routine and haven't had a crash for about 2 hours so far. Now my question is could it be possible the MEMTEST wasn't able to pick up errors on the RAM?

    Its strange because the 1st stick I tried crashed on almost everything I did, my system even started to crash before completely booting.

    And also what would be the optimal settings for the ram in bios? I have everything set to auto in bios since I haven't got a clue what all the CAS etc mean i just left it all to deafault. I reied googling but couldn't come up with anything..... about 5 hours now still stable.

    I have G-skill ripjaws ddr3 1600 pc3 12800 4gbx2

    Memtest86+ does not always find errors. It only finds errors every time it runs if the RAM is outright failing. If the RAM is only starting to fail, the test may have to be run multiple times for seven passes each before errors show up.

    If you do the following steps, we can help you determine the best settings for your RAM. Download and install CPU-Z and Upload screenshots of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs. In the SPD tab, upload an image of each slot.

    Also, go into your BIOS and post all RAM and CPU Voltages and all RAM settings (timings, frequency, etc.)

    I can officially mark this as solved, it was a case of bad RAM. I ended up going back to where I bought it in exchange for new RAM.

    A big thanks to Writhziden and every one else on this forum that does this everyday, your help is much appreciated! (Just realised I was kinda breaking out into a speech like I won something).
