BSOD upon startup

    See my previous post. I edited in the quote from a previous post I made regarding the standalone scanners that do not need Windows. You just need a blank CD/DVD/USB flash drive to run them.

    Oh, yes, I have. I burned both BitDefender & Microsoft Standalone Sweeper onto disc. I have tried running both discs but when my laptop starts nothing happens. It just goes to the screen for me to select which mode I want to start Windows in. Maybe I'm missing a step in here or something?

    Make sure your BIOS is configured to boot the CD before the hard disk.

    Please fill out your system specs so we can help you better. I do not know how to adjust your BIOS because I do not know what motherboard you have or what vendor manufactured the computer. System Info - See Your System Specs can be used as a guide to fill in the specs.
