Windows 7 BSOD problem

hi i hope you guys can help me.
I Bought my Computer 2 weeks ago now and after people talking about windows 7 i decided to install it, now after about a week i started getting BSOD on the odd occasion. The main problem was when i started my computer it would come on and sometimes crash at the Motherboard screen (where it says press Del to enter Bios etc) i think i sorted that out when i went on my startup programs and disabled them all and activated them one by one till i found the program i think that was causing it.

when i did that it was working fine but ive just started my comp about 1 hour after because i had to do something and BSOD just came up saying

and would it help if i posted the minidump ?

would really help if you zipped and uploaded the dump file so we can run a debugger on it

The real clue is the freeze during POST. This likely not a Windows problem. You could perform a number of tests to determine the cause, or you could return the machine while it is still under warranty.

If you are building your own computers there are many adjustments in bios that can help with these types of problems. I would take a look at the memory voltage and settings first and then take some of your other voltages off Auto and try adjusting the voltages to see if it makes a difference. Maybe even try the Asus forum to see what settings people are using for your board.

Usually it's just memory settings or memory or other voltages not being adjusted properly will cause these types of problems on a new system. You can't just assume that the Auto settings are correct. Was your system running Vista before you installed Win7?

I simply hate it when people are still running Windows 7 RC, getting errors.
I really felt that Windows 7100 RC was NO WAY READY FOR PUBLIC RELEASE.

I agree completly, 7100 was just awful, so full of bugs it really wasn't fit for public consumption.

It's not worth working on it or helping people to get it working because we have no idea if the problem is fixable or not.

For the Corsair XMS2 2X4GB pc2 6400 you should use 5 5 5 18 and 1.9 volts for that memory. I would do that in bios manually to make sure those settings are correct.

Were you able to run Vista stable before moving to Win7?
