    BSOD multipule error codes please help


    hello
    i got a refurbished laptop that i have had for about a month from joy systems it is a HP compaq 6530b it came installed with Windows 7 home premium 32bit and i have installed iTunes, Avast, and updates from Windows and now i am getting mulitple error codes and its driving me bonkers i have attached the requested dump files and system health report as per BSOD posting instructions and also the error reports if you need any additional information let me know and i will do my best to answer your request thank you for your time

    I'm sorry to say that you got a bad laptop. All your crashes are STOP 0x124 which is a hardware error in the CPU

    Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try

    Try updating the BIOS first and see if that stops the crashes

    I downloaded updated BIOS from HP and have attached dump files and system health report current as of 2 pm

    Still the same. It looks like though that you haven't had a crash on the new BIOS

    BIOS Version: Hewlett-Packard 68PDD Ver. F.17, 12/2/2010

    ^^ That's from your system info, the ones in the BSOD are still from 2008

    If the crashes continue then run a CPU stress test
    Prime95 - Run all three tests for 3-4 hours each or until fail - Hardware - Stress Test With Prime95

    i ran all three prime95 tests for three hours each and everything passed no errors or warnings then i went to do dishes with just itunes running and when i came back windows had recovered form an unexpected shutdown i have attached a system health report and dump files current as of 2:35 pm today

    Still the same crashes, but now the BIOS is updated

    At this time, I would contact Joy Systems and link them to this thread and have them sort it out since you just got this laptop a month ago. There is no telling if these BSODs were occurring with the previous owner.
