BSOD and random shutdowns
First I want to say sorry for the long post I just want to make sure you have all the info you will need.
I did a new build and am having some bad BSOD, random shutdowns, as well as hard time starting up. I have uploaded the System Health report as well as the Dump Files.
What I have done: At first I thought it was the SSD (first build with an SSD) because I have heard of some issues with them and when using Intels SSD Toolbox I get
"The Intel SSD Toolbox cannot communicate with the selected Intel SSD. Consider changing to another storage driver compatible with your system and try the tool again."
and when using Intels desktop manager Hard drive is blank. I did some research online and was told to check the device manager and the hard drive id should start with IDE\DiskINTEL but it reads SCSI/Disk. Online forums mentioned it was a driver issue and to install the latest drivers. All of the latest drivers are installed. I spent over an hour with Intel and they said the device was fine but it was not reading properly so it was a Motherboard issue. I got transferred to them and after some time they told me it was a known issue because
" Karla: basically, the X79 chipset comes with the C600 SATA controller which is a server controller... Due to this, we are aware about the situation since all drivers, OS and even BIOS will always recognize the SSD as a SCSI device. However, this is merely esthetic since the motherboard and motherboard features will still work. In regards to the conflict presented with the SSD Toolbox, seems the problem could be related to the design."
She went on to say the SSD and motherboard are not affected and there is nothing wrong with the system (except Intel desktop manager doesnt see my ssd and the toolbox cant communicate with it?
So I am too assume that everything is good...
BIOS is set to AHCI
I did have my memory tweaked to the specs here... https://docs.google.com/document/pub...xT3Y8S2Q&pli=1 I thought the memory was the problem so I brought BIOS back to defaults. Still was doing it.
I noticed that chrome seem to be hitting me with an unexpected shutdown about 3 seconds before BSOD. I thought that was the issue and have been using IE. doesnt seem to blue screen as often but still does.
1 error I got was "unable to load the specified HEIDI driver module gdi9.hdi" This happened while I was running my CAD and googled it and found it on a CAD forum...not totally sure what it is about.
Before the last blue screen I got a "C0000135 %hs is missing" and I don't have AVG I have Symantec Endpoint Protection.
I am having weird boot problems when It crashes The first several times it said missing bootmgr and I had to use the windows disk to repair. Other times if it reboots it wont load and says no bootable media. you have to hit power shutoff for 5 secs and it boots up fine. and the last thing it will do is bootup and say windows did not boot properly and ask if i want to repair.
After doing the health report I noticed for the first time I do have an explanation mark next to "Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Root HUB" not sure what this is or if it is the cause.
I hope I gave enough info sorry for this being so long. I hope someone can help this is driving me crazy
