    * Kaspersky is a frequent cause of BSOD's.
I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST.

Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

    * "It's not a true crash, in the sense that the bluescreen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception".

Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OSs like XP to crash.

As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds.

If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD.

If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating.

Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU.

Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference.

If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup and subsequently inadequate cooling.

I would download cpu-z and gpu-z (both free) and keep an eye on the video temps.

Here is the dump of a new crush.. This time, when I was watching a video, screen blacked and the audio continued until the pc restarted.. I start to fear that my gpu is faulty.

Edit: The pc continues to crash and the event log says: Audit events have been dropped by the transport. 0

I have no idea what this means and I didn't find any helpful thread via google..

    Please update these drivers

    scmndisp.sys 1/17/2007 2:48:03 AM fffff880`0186e000 fffff880`01878000 0x0000a000 0x45add4b3

    How To Find Drivers:
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

I had removed Kaspersky before my previous post. The temperatures are fine (around 40 C) and generally the case is really cool. I have updated these drivers 3 times by now : /

    * Did you actually work your way through the troubleshooting steps in the link my Post 12?
If so post your results of the tests.

    * Did you do what zigzag3143 suggested in his Post 7?

Yes I have done everything you told me to. I run Fur Mark and it crushed around 2 mins in a Stress test at 1920/1080 with a T = 77C. Edit: The initial Temperature of the GPU was 40C

Edit 2 : I also run a Blend test of Prime for 4 hours. When I tried to see what's going on, the pc crashed and according to logs, it crashed at exactly that time. I assume it has to do with the gpu since after 4 hours the screen was in a sleep mode and the pc crashed when I tried to awake it. It seems though that after a series of crashes after a hard shutdown, I'm able to run games and streams at the same time.

PC also crushed after an hour of stability when I tried to watch a video before the tests.

I attached the BSOD dump after the previous crash

I thought these 2 things were part of the Wireless adapter driver which I have re-installed 2 times.

I have no idea how to fix them if they are causing the problems. Sorry for all the trouble and thank you for the help you ve given me so far.

In situations such as yours often the quickest & neatest way to get your system back to running "normally" is to do a Clean Install.

I was hoping I could avoid it but if that's what I need to then it's fine. However I am a little worried about my GPU since when I go to the Action Centre in the Control Panel (I accidentally went there yesterday) I found multiple cases of Video Hardware errors.

    Thanks again guys.
