HP has random BSOD over night or when using.

So this isn't my computer, but I have been tasked with trying to fix it. It kept BSOD over night. The owner said that the BSOD always said something about the antivirus (Kaspersky) so I had her remove it via the uninstall tool provided by them. Computer seemed to do ok for a week but it started to do it again, but this time giving a "fatal error" as I been told. I been trying to open up the dump files but keep getting permission or symbol errors. Attached are the required files as you guys requested. I guess any help would be awesome.

    Is Windows 7 . . .
    - Home Premium x64
    - the original installed OS on the system - Yes
    - an OEM or full retail version? - OEM

    - What is the age of system (hardware)? - ~5 Months (October)
    - What is the age of OS installation ~ 5 Months (Has not been reinstalled)

Hi and welcome to SF :)

    In this order,

Download and install the new version of Driver Sweeper.

Download the most recent software\driver for your ati
    AMD Graphics Drivers & Software

Uninstall ati software\driver,restart in safe mode, run driver sweeper, choose only AMD-Display and clean, restart in normal mode.

    Install the new ati software\driver,restart.

    Update
    DirectX.

Run RAM - Test with Memtest86+
Let it run until at least 9 passes are completed, or errors are found (whichever comes first). The longer you run it, the better.

And please write here all the pc specs, laptop?desktop?model?Everything.

OK. Here is some information and what not.

    HP Pavilion dv7-6135dx entertainment Laptop
    Windows 7 Home Premium
    Intel i5 Processor 2.3ghz
    Radeon HD 6xxm Graphics
    8192mb ram

I been going down the list. Upon trying to install the drivers for the graphics card, I am getting a Incompatible hardware/software warning and it tells me the graphics is not supported. I have selected the 64 bit HD 6xxm series graphics manually and using the auto select tool with no success. They tell me to go to the manufacture of the computer, so I am going to try to go to HP to see what I can fine if anything.

EDIT: Grabbed the newest drivers from the HP website (Nov 2011) so now following with the rest of everything

OK so Mem test is still going, on pass #6 now but with no errors what so ever. Even ran a test on the HD and that came back fine as well prior to the memtest run.

Let Memtest run all day and over night. No problems or errors that got reported. Nothing yet on the BSOD. Hasn't happened again but I know it was always just random when it was happening.
