BSOD during normal use = BCCode 50

    Hi,

apologies for this, I'm not at all a technical person, and I'm just after some advice to see if I can sort out my girlfriend's laptop.

The laptop starts up fine, and you can log in without any problems, however after a few moments everything just goes black and reboots, saying that windows has recovered from an error, giving the BCCode in the title of this thread.

At first I thought it was something hardware related, after doing some reading about that particular code, but I notice that I can start the device absolutely fine in safe mode, and it does not crash whatsoever, is this likely to be something software related?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Can you please provide information as per instructed here? Thanks. In addition, you'll also want to turn on Driver Verifier. In addition to turning off Low Resource Simulation as instructed in the article, make sure to also turn off Force Pending I/O Requests and IRP Logging. The former causes false positives and the second is worthless in this case and may only make things sluggish.
