    Post BIOS BSOD, error 0x000000f4

    I have a friend who also runs a Windows 7 Home Premium computer and I was stuck at the post bios bsod. Unfortunately, I could not run the emergency startup to even remotely use the computer in any way shape or form. However, when I ran into the Windows Startup repair, I have the results as shown:

    Problem Event Name: StartupRepairOffline
    Problem Signature 01: 6.1.7600.16385
    Problem Signature 02: 6.1.7600.16385
    Problem Signature 03: unknown
    Problem Signature 04: 21200428
    Problem Signature 05: AutoFailover
    Problem Signature 06: 22
    Problem Signature 07: 0x9f
    OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
    Locale ID: 1033

    I hope some of these signatures are identified already... especially problem 4 and 6.

    IF you can manage to get into the system..

    We do need the DMP file as it contains the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

    If you are overclocking STOP

    You may be able to get the DMP files without crashing by booting into safe mode (F8) with networking.

    To enable us to assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder.

    The procedure:
    * Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
    * Zip up the copy.
    * Attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
    *If the files are too large please upload them to a file sharing service like "Rapidshare" and put a link to them in your reply.
    To ensure minidumps are enabled:
    * Go to Start, in the Search Box type: sysdm.cpl, press Enter.
    * Under the Advanced tab, click on the Startup and Recovery Settings... button.
    * Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked.
    * Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box (the 256kb varies).
    * Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump.

    * OK your way out.
    * Reboot if changes have been made.

    First off... I went through F8 and used up all options.

    Second off, I wasn't overclocking. I checked the BIOS.

    Third off, the computer pulls a BSOD on me after starting up on safe mode (with and without networking, and with command prompt). The BSOD seems to come up after starting up the computer on any mode except the repair (which I retrieved the information from)

    But thank you for the instructions and I hope that I can find the dump file somehow.
