    Hi zigzag3143,

I will uninstall ASO, but just wanted to clarify...should I remove and uninstall Diskeeper or just remove it from start up? I use Ashampoo to defrag, and haven't used diskeeper in ages.

    Thanks again,

    Hi,

Here are the logs...So sorry for all this work but I can't thank you enough for the
    help.

You have several issues. First Advanced system optimizer is causing a memory exception (hence the BOSD) and needs to be removed. This has been causing problems since at least May of 2011

Faulting application name: SystemProtector.exe, version: 3.2.648.11676, time stamp: 0x4e54f0d7
Faulting module name: ASOHelper.dll, version: 3.2.648.11676, time stamp: 0x4e4cf38d
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x00014691
    Faulting process id: 0xaf8
    Faulting application start time: 0x01cd04e4d00c2988
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Advanced System Optimizer 3\SystemProtector.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Advanced System Optimizer 3\ASOHelper.dll
    Report Id: 104f831e-70d8-11e1-a4f1-0013d4f33103
    Faulting package full name: %14
    Faulting package-relative application ID: %15

Second Diskeeper is leaking registry handles (not good) remove at least to test.

If I were you I would remove it. there are much better apps to do the same thing that are compatible.

    Hi JMH,

I followed your advice, and that of zigzag3143 and it looks like after removing ASO and Diskeeper, there are no more start up issues, and disk check found no issues.

I can't thank you enough for taking the time to analyze my logs and walk me through it.

I absolutely love this site! All the best...

    Hi zigzag3143,

I followed your advice, and removed ASO and Diskeeper, and for now there seem to be no more start up issues.

I don't know what I would have done without all your help with my drivers and sound advice! I will recommend this site to everyone I know.

    Thanks again,
