Multiple BSOD playing Battlefield 3

Hardware is 7months old,
Software is 5 days old (Fresh Install to try and solve my problem)

I have been getting BSOD almost every time I play BF3, the cause or .sys file mentioned in the blue screen changes most times

I have run several tests and tried reinstalling serveral drivers with no result.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

These were Related to cmudaxp.sys Audio WDM Driver from C-Media Inc and Kaspersky.

I would re-install the audio driver with the most recent and remove and replace Kaspersky

Kaspersky is a frequent cause of BSOD's. I would remove and replace it with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST.

Thanks for the quick response.

I removed Kaspersky and installed AVG 2012 Free Edition as its one I have used before, I also installed more up to date audio drivers.

While playing BF3 after doing these things I got BSOD that mentioned "dxgmms1.sys"

I did check for a dump file for this but I can't seem to find it.

Thats your Directx but we cant be more specific without the DMP

I've had a couple of more blue screens and these did create dumps, I have attached them below.

I think I seen some mention on drivers for my graphics card on one of the BSOD, so I tried an older driver with no success. Before my fresh install last week I remember seeing a few BSOD regarding my graphics card or drivers but since then I have tried another graphics card the same as mine with no better results.

1-The most recent was memory corruption caused by AVG. Remove and replace.

2-The one before it was caused by directx

VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL (10e)
The video memory manager encountered a condition that it can't recover from. By crashing,
the video memory manager is attempting to get enough information into the minidump such that somebody can pinpoint what lead to this condition

3-Your audio driver

4-your ataport.sys driver (storage controller)


These are all hardware issues and there is usually only a couple of causes.

Overclocking. If you are stop.

Ram. Test with memtest

Cpu. Run stress tests.

AVG can be a contributing cause of BSOD'S .
Please remove and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials AT LEAST TO TEST

Memtest

* If you are overclocking anything reset to default before running these tests.
In other words STOP!!!

* If you have raid update its Driver.



Memtest.

*Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

*Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

Just remember, any time Memtest reports errors, it can be either bad RAM or a bad motherboard slot.

Test the sticks individually, and if you find a good one, test it in all slots.

Any errors are indicative of a memory problem.

If a known good stick fails in a motherboard slot it is probably the slot.

RAM - Test with Memtest86+

FurMark Setup:
- If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
- In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
Click "Go" to start the test
- Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
NOTE: Set the alarm to go off at 90ºC. Then watch the system from that point on. If the system doesn't display a temperature, watch it constantly and turn it off at the first sign of video problems. DO NOT leave it it unmonitored, it can DAMAGE your video card!!!
If the temperature gets above 105ºC, quit the test - the video card is overheating.
- Click "Quit" to exit

1. I have removed AVG and replaced it with MSE
2. DirectX is the correct version for the game.
3. Audio driver reinstalled

I am not overclocking,
I ran Memtest86 with different results each time, some times I would get lots of errors in the first couple of minutes and the last test I got 1 error 5-10min into the scan. The scan always crashes/freezes on its first pass, the longest the scan has run was 22min and that was on the last scan that found 1 error. I have tried the scan with 1 stick in each of the slots and using other RAM in each of the slots with the same results (crashing).

I did run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool and that picked up no problems during the few passes it run for, but that was only in the basis scan and not the extended. As it seems to freeze during the extended scan.

I have attached more dump files below from more recent crashes.

We should check your RAM settings and whether the RAM you have is compatible with your motherboard/CPU...

Download and install CPU-Z and Upload screenshots of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs. In the SPD tab, upload an image of each slot.

Also, go into your BIOS and post all Voltages (CPU, RAM, NB, IMC, etc.) and all RAM settings (timings, frequency, etc.)

Timings look good. The memory according to Corsair should work with all AMD platforms that support DDR3, which your motherboard does. I do not believe this to be the problem. When you say you had crashing with "other" RAM in the slots, what do you mean by this?

Did you try a different memory kit, and if so, what kit did you try?
