    do the following: Open a command prompt (Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt) and type
    dir %SystemRoot%\winsxs\x86_microsoft.vc80.mfc* > C:\Users\Public\Documents\vc80mfc.txt

    Upload the vc80mfc.txt file found in C:\Users\Public\Documents\
      My Computer

    I am playing it currently - I will en-devour to attempt to recreate the issue and let you know.

    Looks like we got it fixed up.

    Thanks again for all your help.

    I think what did the trick was I went back after doing some more reading and redid the 2005 c++ redist's (both 86 and 64) and made sure they removed the previous installations first.

    Then I had the files showing up that you asked I search for.

    I guess when I did the install the previous time, it didn't remove / install and simply tried to 'repair' and didn't install that particular file.

    In any case, it's working now and all is well.


    Your a champ and I appreciate your assistance in this matter.
