intermittent freezeups, excluded all but mobo, is it shopping time?

    Problem:
intermittent freezeups. Pointer freezes, input freezes, machine does not respond to ctrl-alt-del. Only reset. if left it will reboot.

    Description:
Happens in all software games/productivity, happens at any time, even if idling. happens a bit more if there is proc load: crashes more in heavy duty games and if streaming/multitasking. happens 1*wk to severl*day.

    What I got:
athlon 64 fx57 (off ebay, yeah I know)
mobo ASrock 939 dual sata2 (from '06-7 borrowed from mate)
ram: 2* 1gb elixir and 2* 1gb corsair from my prev machine
    Sound: Xonar DG (brand new)
Graphics: evga gtx 550ti (brand new)
HDDRV: a new 320gb sata2 drive cannibalized from a new but surplus set-top box
    power: 650w altrix

What have you done to identify the cause?
Format and fresh install of Win7, prob remains
Avast virus scan, no viruses, prob remains
Win defender scan, no issues, prob remains
MBAM scan, no malware, prob remains
kept win7 updates - er updating, prob remains
Used ccleaner to clean web browser files only: prob remains
used ccleaner to shutdown startup software: prob remains
regularly uninstalled software I am not using, prob remains

what have you done to rule out your dodgy hardware?
Proc: run a stress test using "hot CPU4 lite" no errors
mem: ran the win7 memtest at startup: no errors
graphics: ran the evga stress test: no errors
HDD: downloaded and ran seagate seatools to write and read test the drive: no errors
took the PSU out of the case to a electronic specialist for testing: in good health

Can't rule out the mobo, suspect it. Previous owner only stopped using it because the proc failed, so no immediate dubious history.

I am entering this on my wife's lappy as my machine froze 3 times while trying to post this. If I get as far completing the BSOD files I will upload them in a few minutes. The perflog worked.

Question: in all probability am I looking at a new mobo?
Question: I think I've been pretty dilligent, but could someone interpret the log for me, what am I missing/could manage better? (when I upload it)

Sorry about the dual thread, but the machine crashed when I was posting and I couldn't tell if the board/forum software had registered the post. see the other thread for attachment
