Can you post the CPUZ SPD tab with the timing information?
Go to the 'Slot #' drop box and select another slot to get the information.
From your CPUZ CPU tab in post#84, the CPU voltage 1.176v, Vcore in BIOS, seems to be a little low, should be 1.23v at full load.

Check the 'CPU Vcore' voltage number and post the amount here, the setting should be on '[Auto]'.
While you're in BIOS, post the QPI/Vtt voltage, that is the CPU integrated memory controller voltage.
Also the Dram voltage.
Yes, I will. The guys who assembled it seem very keen to rectify the problem. they have heard of sevenforums, and I suggested they first look at all my saved error files, etc. before they start doing any reinstallation and analysis. This is the first time I have dealt with them since the two guys bought the business a year ago (I wasn't at all keen on the original owner). I was impressed with their helpfulness when I first made enquiries. I was going to purchase all the components from a wholesaler and assemble it myself, but they gave me a really good price and undertook to look after anything like this. Thanks Dave and Jonathan. I really appreciate all your efforts.
Well, they checked it out and all seemed perfect. I suspect that my TV tuner card which was previously in the computer may have been the culprit. Since I brought computer home I have installed Office, printer drivers, Norton 360, Firefox and Thunderbird. I have also reconnected my backup drive and restored documents, bookmarks, etc. I seem to be again getting lots of errors - now mostly in Restart Manager. Can you tell me what is happening here?
p.s. I just disconnected the backup drive (which also has Windows Security Essentials backups), and did a restart. Now the only message is WMI one. Obviously there's some connection. Perhaps the Norton is trying to match data on startup and seeing different and unidentified folders? Or is the computer looking at the Windows SE backup and not finding the software to match?

Can you post the information files from Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.
Even without actual crash dump files this will give us a lot of information that we can use to analyze this issue.
It appears that the system builder re-installed the OS, please verify.
Can we get more information on the system settings, since the settings were probably changed, we need to know where we are at now.
Can you download CPUZ and post a snip of the CPU, Mainboard, Memory, and SPD tabs.
Go to your BIOS and tell us what the CPU, RAM and the CPU integrated memory controller voltages are.
This is important information.
Here are the three snips, plus the perfmon and Griff files. I cannot work out how to get the BIOS information. When I did a restart and pressed TAB key nothing more happened. Then I restarted again and pressed DEL, and looked at the BIOS power setup, but found nothing like the info you asked for. The last 3 restarts have not generated any messages in Event Viewer. I still have the external hard drive disconnected. I suspect my hunch was correct, at least in part, about some of the error messages relating to its presence. The OS was reinstalled by supplier. They also ran extensive tests and said that the CPU voltages are all running correctly - set to AUTO, and although lower than the picture in the MB manual (which they said is not indicative of the norm), they are all OK.
Can you select another Slot for the CPUZ SPD tab, upper left corner, it should have RAM timing information.
Also post the CPU tab.
The voltages are the same ones requested checking before the re-install.
There have been 28 crashes since the re-install.Page 43 of you motherboard manual: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3

20 on 10 April, 6 on 11 April, 2 on the 12 April.
All 28 are the same:
This is likely a hardware fault, due to settings or component issue.Code:STOP 0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA Usual causes: Defective hardware (particularly memory - but not just RAM), Faulty system service, Antivirus, Device driver, NTFS corruption, BIOS Could not read faulting driver name Probably caused by : AppleCharger.sys ( AppleCharger+280a )
With the CPUZ tabs and voltage settings requested we can start adjusting some settings.
Bad or out of date drivers:
Looks like the TV tuner driver, uninstall this driver.Code:AF15BDA.sys Wed Jun 03 08:58:22 2009
Go to the Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 site and update all the drivers for your motherboard.

Looks like you have had a lot of Windows update failures.Code:Event[88]: Log Name: Application Source: Microsoft-Windows-CAPI2 Date: 2012-04-14T12:04:24.254 Event ID: 4107 Task: N/A Level: Error Opcode: Info Keyword: Classic User: N/A User Name: N/A Computer: Bob-PC Description: Failed extract of third-party root list from auto update cab at: <http://www.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/v3/static/trustedr/en/authrootstl.cab> with error: A required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying against the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file.
There are errors that may be caused by the Anti Virus Norton, un-install Norton 360 for testing purposes.
First uninstall from the Control Panel > Programs and Features.
Then Run the Norton cleanup tool:
Download and run the Norton Removal Tool to uninstall your Norton product
Install MSE, this will run without causing errors.
Microsoft Security Essentials*- Free Antivirus for Windows
When we get the system stable, you can try Norton again, if you want.
