8 BSODs over night

Hi,

Last night i install Win7 x64 on new WD HD (WD6400AAKS "Caviar® Blue). Everything was OK. Over the night I left PC on, in the morning I find 8 minidump's, mostly 0x124.
I use WinDbg. Here is result of one minidump:

AMD Athlon +3500 64it
GA K8NF-9 (Rev 1.1)
RAM: 2 x 512MB, 2 x 1G (in dual mode)
ATI Radeon HD 4650
SATA WD WD6400AAKS, IDE SG 200G

Any idea?

Most likely it's an incompatibility between one of your hardware devices and Windows 7.
It could also be a broken piece of hardware, or even an incompatible driver.

Hi,

here is log of Windows 7 upgrade Advisor. Everything looks fine, except Realtek AC'97 Audio.
Also I run for 24h Prime95 and BurnInTest - no errors.
Until now no BSODs

Do you have the latest chipset drivers? Video Drivers? BIOS flash to current? Your problem sounds odd. Any AV scanning at night? Defrag at night? Backups at night? (curious if there are any tasks scheduled to run at these times)

Have you tried just running a check disk overnight and automatically correct errors?
Its odd that you are having this many BSOD's on a clean install.
Try a check disk, you may have a bad driver or sectors. If you don't know how...

Click:

Start>Computer
then select the disk and right click (start with C:\ if you have more than 1)
Tools>Check now
Check automatically fix and scan for and attempt to recover....

It will prompt to reboot.

This can take a long time so, choose to do it at night or when you don't plan on using your pc. Check the event log after for the report.

My chipset is NVIDIA nForce4, my last dirvers are from gigabyte page, but they are from year 2006

. No new drivers! Any help here!

BIOS is version F12k, the last one.

I did not check my AV (Avira), perhaps there was scanning over night.

Try running a check disk tonight and see if it finds any errors.

Also did you force the install of the drivers? Windows 7 should have supplied a much newer version than what you may have installed from your motherboard's site. On older hardware, I would trust what Windows 7 installs and Windows Update finds.

Well if checkdisk didn't reply with any errors it may not be the disk then. Did you install the Vista nforce4 drivers? Did Windows 7 not supply the right drivers for your motherboard?

Not yet, I find this drivers nForce4/500 Series AMD-Vista
I will try them, at home.

Last week I also had problems with BSOD in win7 32bit and 64bit during installation of Adobe Premiere CS4. That is why I made clean install this week to find error!

In WINXP installation completed without BSODs, so I think that BSODs are not from bad hardware!
