Computer randomly blue screens

Okay so I got the error code but I wasn't able to write down the temps, it blue screened just as i alt+tabbed out, the only one I could get was that my GPU was at 79 degrees Celsius but that is within safe operating temps but that should be within the safe zone. I tried the clean startup and this time when I was playing it did not lock up before blue screening. When I get more time I'll try again and see if that is still the case. When it was blue screened it didn't create a file... again but I got the stopcode this time.

Your crashes and your steps to this point are indicating a hard disk problem or RAM problem. Go into your BIOS, go to the exit screen, load setup/optimized defaults, save, and exit.

Strip down your system to run only the bare essentials: one RAM module, the CPU, motherboard, one hard disk, one graphics card (or use onboard graphics if you have it), keyboard, mouse, and one monitor. See how the system behaves by running Windows for twice as long as it typically takes for you to get a crash. Do the tasks that normally cause crashes. If it is stable, add one piece of hardware back at a time until you get crashes again. Take notes of what hardware you add and how the system responds to the hardware changes.

As you add and remove hardware, follow these steps for ESD safety:

1. Shut down and turn off your computer.
2. Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
4. Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working. If you do not have an anti-static workbench, desk, or pad, you can use your computer tower/case by finding a metal hold in it, such as a drive bay.

Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.

okay so I tried all the ram sticks ram stick one resulted in a blue screen (KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR

Well switching RAM did not have the effect I expected, but it did have an effect. You may consider replacing the graphics card. Try to test a different card first to be sure it is the card, though. See if you can borrow one if possible.

Do you get any of that strange graphics behavior outside Windows, i.e. on the POST screen?

No there wasn't any and I might be able to borrow a friends. I remember him saying he bought a video card a couple months ago but I'm not sure what he bought it for or anything like that.

This is looking more and more like graphics. Another important question is: Is the card still under warranty? You may be able to get an RMA that way if it is.

I do not want to say it is graphics for sure and have you buy a new card only to find out the problem was the motherboard or the PSU.

It appears that I am only under the labor warranty at the time being so it would be easier to just do it on my own. I know when I had to RMA my power supply they gave me a cheap one so that would not be surprising to me if that was it. I'm trying to get a hold of my friend who might have a video card but he works graveyard so he won't reply until the morning.

Okay my friend said I could borrow his video card the day after tomorrow, but I couldn't borrow his ram (beggers can't be choosers!)

okay it's doing the thing with the screen rollover (far right is on the left side of the screen, not sure what the correct name for that is) but yeah I was browsing youtube and it's doing it now. I'm going to take a stab in the dark and assume that's my video card. And when I tried to take a screen shot it showed as normal in MS paint.

Often, graphics card failures can't be caught with a screenshot. They usually require taking a picture with a digital camera/phone with the flash off. It does sounds like it is probably the card.
