One Related to BitLocker Drive Encryption Driver from Microsoft Corporation. One hardware.

May be bitlocker or a HD issue. I would stop using bit locker to test

BTW your drivers are not current

    Code:
    ElbyCDFL.sys 12/14/2006 5:22:27 PM fffff880`086be000 fffff880`086cc000 0x0000e000 0x4581c093
    adpu320.sys 2/27/2007 8:04:15 PM fffff880`00c00000 fffff880`00c2f000 0x0002f000 0x45e4c6ff
    SiWinAcc.sys 6/14/2007 8:02:02 PM fffff880`0156c000 fffff880`01575000 0x00009000 0x4671d6fa
    SI3114.sys 4/10/2008 4:19:32 PM fffff880`012fb000 fffff880`01313000 0x00018000 0x47fe7654
    Ph6xIB64.sys 4/7/2009 4:29:16 AM fffff880`08888000 fffff880`089f9580 0x00171580 0x49db0edc
    How To Find Drivers:
    - search Google for the name of the driver
    - compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
    - visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
    - if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
    - - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
    - - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

I have removed clone cd so im assuminfg this will remove the ElbyCDFL.sys

    Regarding these

    adpu320.sys 2/27/2007 8:04:15 PM
    SiWinAcc.sys 6/14/2007 8:02:02 PM
SI3114.sys 4/10/2008 4:19:32 PM the only one on the link u posted is SI3114r or s??
    Ph6xIB64.sys

when i googled some of these i could not seem to find anything newer thean already installed?
Is there a program you reccomedn for me to purchase?

Regarding the sinwinacc.sys driver, im clue less to no what is using that driver
it could be a non raid sata 4 port controller in the system, but im not sure and on clicking on silicon image page im not sure what product would relate to that driver?

Alos i have just updated these two drivers using drivermax
    adaptec scsi card 39320d 7.00.0012

    And
    intelich1or sata ahci controller
    11.1.0.1066

there are a few more drivers out of date, but driver max has 2 downloads a day max and the other drivers are non system drivers i think

Edit i have updated all drivers with drivermax, is there nayway of telling if it has done the job right,?

Any help would greatly be appreciated

We dont recommend "drivermax" type utilities because each one has its own description of the newest driver.

Regarding drivers in general, if it is before June 1009 it isnt win 7 compliant and needs to be installed in compatibility mode

To install an older driver in win 7 you need to install it in compatibility mode.

To install in compatibility mode right click the installer, go to properties, then compatibility. Choose the appropriate OS

hi zig thanks again for replying! ur right about drivermax it has messed up my drivers so luckly i backed them up within the program and rolled them back

i have managed to update adpu320.sys to the latest, via drivermax but that was the only things worth taking from that

i am having difficulty finding updates for
    SiWinAcc.sys
    SI3114.sys
    Ph6xIB64.sys

when i installed windows i ran windows update utility for Microsoft and other drivers
and it must have installed the above three automatically

im assuming the updater would find a compatible upto date driver for my win 7 64 bit system?

as im having difficulty finding newer versions than the ones you listed, also many driver discs may have been misplaced,

so im not sure were i can find the driv ers for the specific .sys files mentioned to run them in compatibility mode?

    Thanks again for your help!

I'd solve the overheating issue and see if the problem repeats.

If not then look over these steps for getting a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which also apply to retail.

It's important to get a baseline install with the drivers provided by the installer and quickly updated via optional Windows Updates. Win7 is driver-complete and is the authority on its own drivers. Only import drivers that are missing in Device Manager after all initial updating is done. Drivers should only be changed out if performance dictates doing so. This is not XP.

Thanks very much for your help greg
iam waiting on some new tim and a new freezer pro cooler, as soon as it arrives ill fit it and then reinstall windows
its a shame as i have only just insatlled windows fresh on this new intel ssd, luckly enough acording to device manager there are no yellow explanantions, also is it recommended clicking on each item in device manager and clicking update driver, just to be sure of fresh drivers? im just wondering is this the sam as running windows update from the start menu?

its s a self build system and my board is the asus p6t deluxe v2, so would i be right in saying i should get all the stock drivers from there website, install them all and then apply windows update??

    Thanks mate!

As Greg has stated, there is no reason to use any driver programs with windows 7. It does a great job by itself. But then if you have some old hardware, you will have to do some digging. Install windows, run windows update completely, then check device manager for any problems. I have come across some hardware that does not have drivers for W7 64 Bit but are available for W7 32 bit. ( Vista drivers for example )

Please read again what I said about drivers as I think you might have missed the point, Bill.

Nor is it necessary to click on each Device to Update Driver because Windows Updates scans them all to see if Win7 has a newer driver which it wants for the Device. This is why I said to wait until the initial rounds of Updates are done before importing any Drivers missing in Device Manager.

Unless an element of the chipset is missing in Device Manager I would wait to test performance before changing out the chipset or any other driver outright.
