Looks good to me. sibbil?
Although I reviewed the last posted events, I'll have to defer any conclusive analysis to the expert! Looks like the machine was yearning for a few driver updates!
As long as jwthe3 experiences desired behavior resulting from the changes related to power, it all looks good. I do wonder, however, if it's understood that if power is lost while sleeping the logon session is lost as well. As it appears we're dealing with a desktop here, it may not be of concern as it's likely "always" powered.
I realize this is in response to a rather old post. But I just recently had this same issue where resuming from sleep state reboots my Win 8 PC. This situation occurred just after an un-install /re-install of my graphics drivers. Don't really know why that would cause this problem. Anyway, I just wanted to give a shout out to jwthe3 for his tip on running the elevated command line:
"powercfg.exe /hibernate off."
I had tried everything else, but this one worked for me.
Thanks again...
