NETIO.SYS SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED BSOD while broswing
I received a BSOD this evening and have tried to investigate the error on my own, but would like to ask for some more experienced help on confirming or debunking my hypothesis on the actual problem.
Attached are the minidump files and the system performance reports.
While looking at the mini dump file, the first analysis states:
BugCheck 1000007E, {ffffffffc0000005, fffff800030ab4f0, fffff88003762928, fffff88003762180}
Probably caused by : NETIO.SYS ( NETIO!FreeSomeCacheBucketEntries+61 )
Followup: MachineOwner
However a little lower I see this:
EXCEPTION_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at 0x%08lx referenced memory at 0x%08lx. The memory could not be %s.
My thinking is that the memory actually failed which caused the NETIO.sys to fail as it was attempting to read something in memory at 0x%08lx but because of the % the system crashed.
So the solution is more a result of bad memory than it is of a system failure? or is it the opposite?
Thank you in advance for helping a novice figure out what is wrong.
