Laptop couldnt bootup, windows 7 logo would spin halfway before entering system recovery.

Do you have windows installation disk or a startup repair disk ? If you have, boot from it and run Startup Repair at least three times, with restarts aftr each single run.

If you need, you may download windows iso for your installed version from digital river .

I do not have the windows installation disc =/

Does running startup repair without the disc help ?

Startup repair without the disk does not work perfectly all the times, so it is generally advised to run it using either the startup repair disk or the windows 7 installation disk.

You either download a repair disk iso from the link specified in the first post of the thread Win7 Repair Disk Download (the download links are in the middle of the resulting page) , the 64 bit one, as your system is. Or you may download the windows 7 iso from digital river. Burn the either iso in a disk, boot from it, and run Startup Repair , at least for three times, with restarts in between every single run .

Okay somehow after running bootrec.exe , my laptop finally managed to enter the safe mode screen.

I booted using last known good configuration and it worked.

Still unsure of what caused the issue in the first place ..

Thanks a lot for the help, Arc. =D
