    BSOD success story

I was experiencing almost daily BSOD crashes. Having had excellent experiences with sevenforums.com I followed the BSOD posting instructions and submitted my report:
    https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...-enclosed.html
The only answer I got was from zigzag3143
“Related to nusb3hub.sys USB 3.0 Hub Driver from NEC Electronics Corporation. Yours is from 2009. I would re-install the newest available driver.”

I was disappointed because while indeed this driver is dated 2009 a Windows "update driver" came back with "this driver is up to date".
So I decided to try to figure out on my own. I am a good user, but not an expert so I read a lot of the info/tutorials on the forum, downloaded windbg and opened the .dmp files at C:\Windows\Minidump.
To my surprise the first thing I noticed was the reference to nusb3hub.sys
I then did a google search and found out lots of BSOD stories related to nusb3hub.sys
It made sense for me that a USB driver might be the cause because the time stamp of all BSOD events was exactly the time when I was waking up the computer from sleep using mouse or keyboard, both of which are USB.
Took me some effort to find the right driver, but once I found and installed, BSOD crashes stopped and the computer is coming out of sleep mode without a hiccup.
So zigzag3143, I apologize for not believing your assessment right away, which was, in fact 100% correct. My hat is off to you!

No worries and thank you. The only important thing is that you are working. I appreciate thinking users who question because we both learn from it.

    Good Job and good luck
