Truecrypt BSOD and unable to decrypt

On our office pc at work with a 32gb ssd i decided to do a disk encryption so that there would be a password on boot

Everything seemed to be successful upon restart i get a bsod so i put in the recovery cd that was created and tried to decrypt the drive

It says it was successful but it was not, so i did it again and still no access

I put the windows cd in and it found unformatted space i reinstalled windows 7 but the old files were not there

I put the hard drive in another pc and tried to decrypt it using the cd but i unplugged it before doing so and it started to decrypt the 32gb hard drive that is not even attached which leads me to believe that the drive is still encrypted

I did a data recovery but it did not find the old files so again i think the drive is still encrypted

I am silly and lost my quickbooks backup file and i am trying to get at least that file off the drive but that is not going well

Trying to dismount in my laptop i get the incorrect password or not a truecrypt volume error but this password is 200% correct

Any help would be appreciated

More than likely, you will not be able to get the data back if the decryption password is not working. Since this is a work computer: Do you have an IT specialist for your office equipment?

I am the IT specialist lol, but have little experience with encryption

Unfortunately, the experience I've had helping people with similar problems has all been negative. I'm sorry to say that you probably will not find a simple solution on these forums, and you may not find a solution at all here. If we gave you knowledge to decrypt the data, someone with less honorable intentions facing a similar plight may stumble across this thread and use the information for evil instead of good.

Well i am not really decrypting it in a bad way, i have the password and the recovery disk but its just not working

I have a single file that i need to get the last mths customer data in quickbooks the rest i do not care about but it appears the drive is still encrypted and is not being decrypted properly

Is there any chance the password was generated with a hand that was slightly to the left or right of where it is supposed to be? I know it sounds silly, but I have seen cases where someone typed in the original password by shifting one hand slightly to the left or right (or both hands) and then typing the password again and it worked.

no the password is correct because it works in certain areas and not others, i think there was a bug in this version of truecrypt cause none of the other techs can figure it out and while i was decrypting the drive via usb in another laptop it ruined the windows install that as well

Have you tried contacting the developers of TrueCrypt? They may be of more assistance. :)
