Windows XP BSOD happens randomly with same BSOD
I was referred to this from someone from another forum site. I apologize if I am posting this wrong but I thought it would not hurt to try.
I been getting this BSOD off and on for a while. It just happens whenever it wants to. In order for me to fix the BSOD (temporarily) is I would have to use System Restore on when it was working properly. The longest it has been since a BSOD since today was about 6 months. After this last system restore I did it has been working fine for 3 hours now. But I have seen this BSOD at least 5 times today alone.
As for what the BSOD says to do as for turning off the BISO memory. I can not do that in my Bios on how Dell has set it up. I also have no newly installed hardware either.
I have ran a HDD diagnostics program and it came with only one error. So I expect it to be pretty clean. I also ran a memory test as well and that came back clean.
After said BSOD has happened my computer will run 10x slower than what it should be running. After using system restore it runs fine on how it should be running. Another thing to note is that wen this BSOD happens my sound gets messed up. It get all muffled and has static to it as well. I think it messes up the sound driver but after restore it all fine and well again.
I have mentioned all the info I could think of that the BSOD does and cause.I also tried to provide all the required info as well except for the system health report thing.I didn't know how to run the system health thing on XP. So this is not included as I know it was a requirement to do so. If XP can do this and if you provide information on how to do it. I will get that to you as well. If you need anymore info just ask and I will provide it.
Thanks
