Brand new build, 4 BSOD in first couple days, no OC or computer strain

Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Don't have much installed yet other than Windows and some drivers and essential programs. Two of them occurred after about 15 minutes of prime95, but since then I've run prime95 for hours with no issue (temps have never gone about 60 degrees - isn't OCed yet, and using NH-D14 cooler). Other two occurred when I wasn't really doing anything, just web browsing. Updated mobo bios and crucial m4 ssd firmware, ran the windows memory test, double-checked the seating on the ram.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Don't want to start tweaking any settings or installing more stuff until I can get this resolved. Thanks for any assistance!

"It's not a true crash, in the sense that the bluescreen was initiated only because the combination of video driver and video hardware was being unresponsive, and not because of any synchronous processing exception".

Since Vista, the "Timeout Detection and Recovery" (TDR) components of the OS video subsystem have been capable of doing some truly impressive things to try to recover from issues which would have caused earlier OSs like XP to crash.

As a last resort, the TDR subsystem sends the video driver a "please restart yourself now!" command and waits a few seconds.

If there's no response, the OS concludes that the video driver/hardware combo has truly collapsed in a heap, and it fires off that stop 0x116 BSOD.

If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating.

Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU.

Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference.

If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup and subsequently inadequate cooling.

I would download cpu-z and gpu-z (both free) and keep an eye on the video temps

STOP 0x116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR troubleshooting

Temps have been fine so far, I've been monitoring them since the first bsod. All parts are brand new with decent cable management in a full tower case, so I don't think cooling is the issue. Is this definitely a graphics card-related issue? Is that where I should be focusing my testing? And how do I play with video driver versions - just keep rolling them back? I haven't been able to reproduce the bsods (on purpose) yet so I don't know how to test if something is working.

With these BSOD codes there is something wrong. May be as simple as a browser plugin crash, or as complex as the video card itself

So what should I do next to narrow down the problem?
