if you have problems running the scan follow this tutorial >>> How to Check / Repair the Windows System Files from a Command Prompt at Boot >>> SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot - Windows 7 Forums
Finished the scans and it just said it did not find any integrity violations.
its wise to run sfc at least 3 times have you run a disc check on the hard drive? right click on the drive in my computer click on properties click the tools tab and click on disc check windows will schedule a scan for next reboot. when it has reboot pc and let windows scan disc.
Ok i'll run it three times but yes i've run a disc check and everything was fine. I also ran Seatools which told me everything was fine as well :S
well you have done most of what i would do check your windows updates, driver updates (from the manufacturers websites is always best ) check the video card seating and your ram (un-seat and reseat is always good) check all connections on the m/board from the power supply you could always buy yourself a new battery for the motherboard if you wanted and replace.
yep done all of that and the battery for the motherboard well atleast the one that came with it is pretty much brand new
if the problem freezing has ceased then i would see how it fairs for a while. keep an eye on the system errors and see if they decrease over time some events you will not need to worry about i have them on my pc i investigate the critical ones 9/10 its driver errors i find. windows 7 seems to repair itself quite well. if you feel like a reinstall then that is your decision if you are happy to start again.
yeh it seems to have stopped but if it does it again i think i might just reinstall. Thanks!
