Cache_manager 0x0000034 BSOD
Fujitsu AH351 2yr old Lifebook running Windows x64 OEM updates applied when available, no reinstalls.
My daughter switched her laptop off during a windows automatic update (!)
Now get BSOD error as described suggesting that I run chkdsk, but unable to get to a dos prompt to do this.
Have tried running in safe mode and from the recovery disk - same BSOD on both occasions
Have tried booting from XP install disk, same BSOD.
Have tried booting from Linux USB boot, ran disk test no errors reported.
Have tried creating DOS USB boot which worked but didn't have access to the harddrive to run chkdsk.
Any suggestions as to how I recover from this would be appreciated. Trying to avoid a complete reinstall - don't want to loose data, if this is the only way forward can you advise how to recover data from disc first?
I am unable to provide required bsod dump info as os will not run.
Thanks
