Computer hangs and becomes irresponsive randomly

    Hi,

I have this issue of my computer hanging and becoming irresponsive at random times such that am unable to do anything until and hard shut down and restart. This does not happen at start up or shut down but just while am browsing (mostly) and sometimes while doing other things. I checked the event viewer this morning when it happened again and found this :

Faulting application name: avp.exe, version: 12.0.0.374, time stamp: 0x4db46f59
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17725, time stamp: 0x4ec49b61
    Exception code: 0xc00000fd
    Fault offset: 0x000462a2
    Faulting process id: 0x804
    Faulting application start time: 0x01cd34f9824134ca
    Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Internet Security 2012\avp.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll
    Report Id: aca62c01-a141-11e1-9ddd-a66ada188053

Please can you advice me on what to do . . . many thanks.

Uninstall Kaspersky with the Removal tool for Kaspersky Lab products because yours may be corrupted. Download a fresh version of it from the Kaspersky homepage and re-install it.
