Hi sam250989 and welcome to W7 Forums

This error can occur when there is a problem with the partition table order. Take a look at this to see if it helps: GRUB error 17 ( Debian/Ubuntu ) « Just a thought

boot from windows 7 "repair disk" and perform a startup repair.
or boot from "installation dvd" and click "repair your computer" and do a startup repair.
    Startup Repair

    Does win7 boot now?
