stuck on "welcome" screen cant get "sfc /scannow" to work

    Even with corrupt profile you should be able to perform "system restore" succesfully. But do it from within windoes recovery environment.

    Yes that actually raises a valid concern that I have not checked out yet. - there still maybe an issue as Restore point was defiantely hanging before. (I waited at least half an hour - surely that would have been enough??)

    I'll create some fresh restore points and attempt to restore back to them at a later time. I guess that is as good a test as any...

    You can also see if resetting the system protection allows system restore to work again. First turn it off by following all steps. Then turn it on by following the steps again. System Protection - Turn On or Off

    something worked for me


    Hi, im also having this problem few minutes ago... Using sfc/scan is worked for me...
    Just need to log in to safe mode with cmd then type sfc/scan...
