Blue Screen of Death Crashes Eating Disk Space

    Hi all,

My system had been fairly stable but I have crashed a few times in the last couple of days and I've noticed a drastic reduction in the amount of free space on my hard drive. I suspect the crash data is being written somewhere but I'm not sure where to look. There was another post on this site that promised directions, but like is bad or I don' have permissions. Could someone send me a link or tell me where to look for the crash files?

    Thanks.

Crash logs called DMPS are usually stored in c:\windows\minidump. An alternate site is c:\windows and the file should be called memory.dmp.

I doubt this is what is eating HD space.

If the DMPs are there you should upload them. We may be able to tell you the problem.

Both. If you zip them the first will upload the second may be too big, If it is you can upload them to a file sharing service like rapidshare and give us a link to it.
