Windows 7 Ultimate freezes on the 'welcome' screen

    Dear friends,

I am sorry to bother you but my PC whose OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x86 froze on the 'welcome' screen today! I freaked out and tried everything I could to make it work, but I couldn't. It only runs under Safe Mode which is making me go crazy. Please tell me what to do. I already tried Start Up repair and obviously didn't work!

    Thank you
    Best Regards
    Stefany

How the situation is , now ? Have you tried startup repair for three different times ? :)

In my best assumption, it should be fixed now.

Right now I am scanning with the Malware software and there says it has detected 3 objects. Should I wait until it finishes scanning or make the start up repair 3 times now?

    Complete the scan.

Most of the times, this hangs take place due to corruptions in MBR. Startup repair fixes it. But if in some case startup repair fails, it is to run for three times, with restarts after every single run.

Hi arc, I did the three times start up repair thing but unfortunately it didn't work, it still freezes in the welcome screen it is like, the circle is moving and after like 1 min, a dark-purple screen appears and the cursor and that's it. I am going to sleep now, thanks for your help and tomorrow I am gonna do the rest of what that tutorial says I have to do. Good night!

in the morning, try step 7 at first .... SFC -SCANNOW Run in Command Prompt at Boot.

If still not working, you may got some moisture in your RAM stick. First, unplug the power supply, open the case , remove the RAM, clean the edges with cotton cloth, put the ram stick back in its slot, connect teh power back, and boot.

    And, let us informed :)
