    W7 BSOD 0x000001e

I reformatted my computer a couple days ago and since them I have been getting BSOD error. I fixed the error that involved my RAM, which I found was malfunctioning. Replacing the RAM fixed all the memory issue but now i'm getting a 0x000001e BSOD. This error occurs randomly. I have updated all my drivers as well as run checks on my RAM and my hard drive and everything came back fine.

I also got a PAGE FAULT IN UNPAGED AREA error minutes before posting this

The Laptop is 3 years old and the only changed hardware is the RAM which i upgraded from 2x2GB to 2x4GB

    Windows 7 Home Premium
    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730
    Asus N61JQ
    Intel Core i7

    Thank you for your help.

You say you reinstalled Windows - did you visit Asus and download all of the required drivers for your laptop, like the chipset INF and any other Asus-specific driver that is required for your laptop to run? Have you checked any laptop forums to see if anyone has pointers for installing Windows on your particular laptop?

When re-installing, I installed all the necessary drivers from the ASUS website and I did check multiple forums about how to re-install windows for my particular make and model.

    Problematic Software:
    Code:
    Start Menu\Programs\Registry Easy	Public:Start Menu\Programs\Registry Easy	Public
Many of us on the forums actually do not recommend automated optimization tools for Windows 7. Windows 7 does a much better job of handling its own optimization than its predecessors did. We especially do not recommend registry cleaning as an "optimization" step because automated registry cleaning causes more harm to the registry than it actually repairs.

In the future, if you need help optimizing Windows 7, please post a thread in Performance & Maintenance - Windows 7 Forums or follow the tutorial enclosed in that forum to Optimize Windows 7.

Here is what others had to say about the software you have installed: registryeasy.com | WOT Reputation Scorecard | WOT (Web of Trust)

Make sure to install all Windows updates.

If you have been running the registry easy software since you first re-installed the OS, you may need to re-install again. It is quite possible the software damaged your Windows installation. Unfortunately, the crash reports themselves do not provide much useful information. They could mean hard disk corruption, bad sectors, a failing hard disk, Windows files or registry corruption (possibly from registry easy?), viruses, or memory problems.
