    BSOD during startup, STOP: 0x00000050

    Hello all,

    I am working on this error and have run out of ideas. During start up I am getting a BSOD.

    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

    STOP: 0x00000050 (0xFFFFF8804913E600, 0x0000000000000001, 0xFFFFFA800324C2E6, 0x0000000000000005)

    * I have included the zip files that include the dump info, but when trying to run perfmon /report I receive an error that states:

    Error: An error occured while attempting to generate the report. The system cannot find the patch specified.

    System Info:
    OEM Windows 7 Home Premium x64
    Acer Aspire 5532
    AMD Athlon 64 Processor TF-20 (1.6ghz)
    ATI Radeon HD3200
    3GB Memory

    What I Have Tried:
    -chkdsk -> 0 problems
    -System Restore -> system restore ran, but deleted restore point on restart due to missing windowsinstaller
    -Startup Repair -> detected no problems
    -memory/hardware check -> found 0 errors
    -sfc /scannow -> found corrupted files and repaired
    (after this completed, i was able to start up windows in normal mode longer than i had previously been
    able to, but when accessing the control panel it crashed again)
    -sfc /scannow a second time -> 0 corrupted files

    This is not my computer and i do not know exactly when the problem began. The only recent software change i can see are the installation of Microsoft Silverlight, Compatibility pack for the 2007 Office system, and Microsoft office powerpoint viewer 2007.

    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!!

    - Ian

    All crashes were related to McAfee. I would suggest uninstalling the software and then re-installing it: How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe)

    If the above does not work, remove McAfee for good: How to uninstall or reinstall supported McAfee products using the McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool (MCPR.exe)

    Replace with either of these:

    Thank you!!! Removing Mcafee did resolve the stop error. However, I received a new stop error when restarting after windows updates and a virus scan. (virus scan did find 8 Trojans) I am also unable to install 2 updates because of malware issues, but am running Malwarebytes now. I will be posting another update as soon as this completes. Thanks again for your help!

    Due to the malware issues, I strongly advise starting a new thread in System Security - Windows 7 Forums to get help from our experts there. If your system is vulnerable, so is your identity, credit card, and banking information. You need to get that resolved as your first priority.
