Try pulling all but one memory module and see if you can run Windows more reliably. Memtest86+ is not failsafe and does miss errors 25-30% of the time. It can also take up to 21 passes for Memtest86+ to catch an error in a memory module.
Currently running Prime95. All 4 of my core passed the "self-test 20k"
I pulled out one stick and it seem to be fine at the moment. Not sure how long this will last. But one think is that i hear grinding sounds. Not sure from where. It does a grind sound every 5 min or so.
Could be the hard drive. Could also be a fan. Those are the most common grinding sounds. Check your fans for any wires that might be blocking or preventing them from spinning properly. Also check for dust in the fans. Make sure to check your power supply fan as well as the fans on the motherboard and graphics card.
I checked all of them. They all seem to be fine
I took out one stick and i tired booting up windows. It froze. I just took that stick out and put another ram stick in my computer. Testing if it will auto restart or lock up
Okay. I used the second stick and it still reboots. I am running out of ideas.
So i booted up my computer and it gave me Overclocking failed - please enter setup to re-configure your system. I do not even over clock at all. Why did it give me this.
Sounds like your BIOS settings have been changed; this could happen from all the reboots due to memory corruption. First step is to go into the BIOS and the Exit screen, select Load Setup/Optimized Defaults, save, and exit.
Then reset the hardware/software connections in the BIOS and clear the temporary memory of any corruption.

- Unplug the computer from the wall or surge protector (then remove the battery if it is a laptop).

Okay. I brought a new ram, powersupply and harddrive.
( Kingston Hyper x blu 4gb ddr3 1333mhz)When i try to plug in this new ram that i brought, and when i press the power button, it is not sending signal to my monitor. Then i use my old ram, it sent signal to my monitor.
( Antec 550 Watts atx12v v2.3 basiq) Then i kept on using my old ram there. I tried using a new power supply, i plugged everything in but when i press the ON button on my computer, the lights goes on for a split second then it turns off. I went back to my old powersupply and everything powers on.
Now i am going to test out this new harddrive and install window 7. --- My computer Locked up during installation of window 7 using new harddrive. Does this mean its not Harddrive problem?
