blue screen problem

Due to the age of your system, I recommend checking hardware compatibility with Windows: Windows 7 Compatibility: Software Programs & Hardware Devices: Find Updates, Drivers, & Downloads.

The above should be installed ASAP for your hardware to function properly. I have an old Toshiba that works fine, as well, with Windows 7. Your problems may be due to the above missing drivers. You can install them from the Toshiba site: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/t...t/jsp/home.jsp

You may need to use: Drivers - Install Vista Drivers on Windows 7.


All crashes caused by ESET Smart Security. What version of the software are you running? If you do not have the 2012 version, version 5, then I would recommend uninstalling the current version and then installing the latest version. If you already have the latest version, uninstall it and then download a fresh copy. Install the fresh copy. Your current installation is either out of date or corrupted. ESET Uninstall instructions may be helpful.
