    I already posted how to run it at boot if it won't run when widows is up. SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

    i open up CMD and type in SCF /SCANNOW and press enter and the box closes

    I must confess that I failed to consider the fact that you can't run a program as administrator from the task manager (to my knowledge). I would try to perform it using the method described in the tutorial that Kado liked you to if you have not already.

    You could forego the system file checker and just do a repair install.

    hey guys i just thought that i would update you with the current situation on my computer, it has currently stopped closing explorer.exe i turned it on yesterday and then it was fixed i don't know what i did to fix it but i am so greatfull for all of the help that i have received from all of you guys. Unfortunately know that it stopped crashing explorer.exe has started to take up a ridiculous amount of cpu usage, what do you guys think that the cause of this is and how can i make it so that it is only taking up the normal amount of cpu usage instead of 30-60%

    Well that's something XGamerzzz. Now you can run sfc /scannow as administrator.

    You may need to run it up to three times with a reboot between each.
