BSOD especially when running Starcraft2-Custom Built Rig
I recently put together a custom computer (first time building one- I'm a newb.) , my system specs are on my profile. Attached is my system health report and my dump files. I'm running only Microsoft Security Essentials for antivirus.
Basically, I've been getting various BSOD's (see the dump files for a couple) I tried reformatting & reinstalling windows (using a cd as well as a usb), I've tried to update all my drivers, I downloaded memtest & ran it for 5 hours, then did one stick at a time for 5-8 hours each. No errors. I've ran disk check with no errors. I also adjusted RAM timing and chipset voltages to match GSKill specs- 9-9-9-24 with northbridge at 2000mhz & hT link 2000mhz & voltage on northbridge at 1.605 (Gskills recommendation for black edition CPU) Since doing that it's been a little more stable, but still crashes. I also updated the motherboard BIOS. It's not overheating- the temperatures are all in the 30's C. I set it to make minidumps, and not restart automatically.
It crashes sporadically, and especially has problems when downloading/running Starcraft2. (Though it runs Diablo 3 just fine.) But I don't think it's game dependent as it crashes all the time. Sometimes it blue screens but doesn't make a dump file, sometimes it doesn't even blue screen it just spontaneously resets. It also doesn't seem to like having a 2nd hard drive installed- I've got a 1TB western digital I wanted to put in it but every time I've stuck it in the computer starts having more errors or not booting up at all.
Let me know if there's anything else I can answer for you, sorry for the lack of technical info, I'm relatively ignorant about hardware and THANKS a TON.
