I was trying to change the system tray icons by changing the .dll and somehow the battery, sound, network icons are not showing. I've tried to replace the .dll files but it didn't work.

I just recovered from a problem where was running windows 7 32 bit upgraded from vista which had been running for a long time.
One day It no longer had a hard drive. The PVM file was corrupted.
After much todo I finally foung out it was caused by VMWare running in the background at the same time...
My one year old decided to "play" with my computer and she somehow made all of my desktop icons disappear. I have tried going through and resending them to the desktop but the do not appear. Does anyone know how to get them back or at least make it so I can add them again?

Recently, i attempted to customize my notification bar with some nicer icons. I replaced the icons for the sound, network, battery and action center. For about a day, the action center had different graphics, but the rest stayed the same, and now all of them have disappeared!
