Fresh Install - Win7 64bit - SFC Corrupt, BSOD, Win Updates Hang

Hello, I recently decided to reformat my computer and ever since, I've been having multiple issues and can't pinpoint the problem. I have various problems:

-Windows Updates will just hang forever when trying to install
-When viewing videos or Netflix, it seems to BSOD when I switch tabs on the web browser. This happens with videos using both Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight.
-When I run sfc /scannow, corrupt files were found that can't be fixed. Here is part of the log:

2012-06-07 18:23:11, Info CSI 00000134 [SR] Could not reproject corrupted file [ml:520{260},l:82{41}]"\??\C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\Architecture"\[l:18{9}]"img15.jpg"; source file in store is also corrupted

2012-06-07 18:24:40, Info CSI 000002dc [SR] Could not reproject corrupted file [ml:520{260},l:82{41}]"\??\C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper\Architecture"\[l:18{9}]"img15.jpg"; source file in store is also corrupted

    Here are the computer specs:

    Windows 7 x64 Home Premium
    MOBO: asRock P67 xtreme4 gen3
    CPU: Intel I7 2600k Sandybridge
    RAM: G Skill 2X8GB DDR3 1333
    GPU: eVGA 560 TI
    Burner: LG Bluray Burner
    SSD: Samsung 830 64GB

I have a 2nd SSD and 2 other HDD but I have disconnected them from the computer while trying to figure out the issue. I have installed Windows 7 with my genuine disc and a sp1 disc and both have sfc corrupt errors on a fresh install.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Confirmed: Just installed Windows 7 32bit on my SSD and did an SFC scan and there are no corrupt files...

Load bios defaults, then memtest the ram for several loops. If everything checks ok, maybe your install media is damaged or corrupted.

I've tried the UEFI defaults and have tried 2 different Windows 7 discs and no luck.

    But...

    I just did some tinkering:

-Removed a 8GB stick of ram and moved the remaining 8GB stick to another slot
-Moved the GPU to a different PCI-E slot
-Disconnected the SSD from the Intel SATA III port and connected it to the Marvel SATA III port.

Still doing more testing. Going to try adding a stick of ram and install Win 7 through the Intel SATA II port...

If your computer ran fine before you reinstalled Windows, then that points to a lack of drivers and/or specific software needed by your hardware. Did you install all of the necessary drivers?

It's not a driver issue. I've installed the drivers and there was still issues. After testing the different components, it looks like one of the 8GB sticks of RAM is bad

    =(

Let us know when you are sure you found the culprit. A failing RAM module can result in strange problems. You may need to re-install the OS, as well. It is possible Windows corruption occurred due to transferring Windows files through the memory during install.

The culprit was one of the sticks of RAM. Whenever I install the OS with this specific 8GB stick, the OS files and corrupts and I have major problems. I install Win7 again without the stick installed and I have not had any problems at all.

Going to have to RMA the stick back to GSkill I think. The RAM was from 2011 and I believe its lifetime warranty. Not a huge issue going from 16GB to 8GB.

    Thanks for everyone's help.

When you tested the RAM, did you try both modules in the same slot? I'm going to assume you did, but I'm asking to be sure.
