bsod, system locks frequently during games

    hello,

my computer has been experiencing frequent bsod events mostly during gaming but often while streaming video as well. I recently installed several new components in my pc including a new mobo, ram, and an hdd. The system's memory was tested, the bios have been updated, and the display drivers have been wiped and updated. Nevertheless, I've received the following error messages:

    0x0000007E
    0x0000003B
as well as several others which i failed to write down

More recently my comp hasn't been going to blue screens. it simply locks up, or the screen scrambles and it restarts.

    System info:
    os: win7 professional
cpu: amd phenom II x4 955, 3200mhz, quad core
    mobo: asustek m5a97
    bios: american megatrends inc. 3/12/12
    memory: 8gb gskill
    gpu:ati 4890

    Thanks in advance
      My Computer

AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems.
Please uninstall all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program
Then, download and install a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD (in the upper right corner of the page)
    - Select the "Custom" installation option and don't let it install AMD OverDrive or the VISION Engine Control Center (if present)
Then use the ATI uninstall manager to uninstall the Catalyst Control Center (CCC). This is a separate issue and isn't required for the AMD OverDrive removal.

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem in perfmon /report, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Uninstall". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's. If this is the case for you, post back and we'll give further instructions for safely removing it.

If overclocking, please stop. Remove the overclock and return the system to stock/standard values while we're troubleshooting. Once the system is stable again, feel free to resume the overclocking.

Please install the drivers for your ASMedia USB 3.0 controller. These are available from the motherboard manufacturer's website.

MSI Afterburner (along with Riva Tuner and EVGA Precision) is known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems. Please uninstall it immediately.

If the above steps don't stop the BSOD's, please post back for other things to try.

Looking more and more like hardware, but a few more things to try:

    Update your chipset drivers:
    - download the latest AMD chipset drivers from here: AMD 9 seriesChipset Drivers
    - uninstall (what you can find) of the AMD drivers from Control Panel
    - install the freshly downloaded drivers
    - monitor for further BSOD's

There's a lot of evidence of your antivirus program in the memory dumps. While this isn't necessarily a problem, I have to wonder why there's more in your memory dumps than in most others that I look at.

IMO it could be one of 2 things - either the Avast program is corrupted, or you have an infection.
    So, please do the following:
    Anti-Virus Removal:
    Please do the following:
    - download a free antivirus for testing purposes: Free AntiVirus
    - uninstall the antivirus software from your system (you can reinstall it, if so desired, when we're done troubleshooting)
    - remove any remnants of the antivirus software using this free tool: avast! Uninstall Utility | Download aswClear for avast! Removal- IMMEDIATELY install and update the free antivirus
    - Once updated, immediately perform a full system scan for malware (if there are any problems, post back for a list of independent scans)
    - check to see if this fixes the BSOD's
NOTE: NEVER run more than 1 anti-virus, firewall, Internet Security/Security Center application at the same time.
If this doesn't fix it, then I'll ask you to start with the free diagnostics here: http://www.carrona.org/hwdiag.html)

it seems the crashes have continued. sometimes it bsod's with the error message 0x0000003b, but often the screen just scrambles and freezes, the sounds loops, and the system restarts without a blue screen. i'll upload more crash dumps if you'd like that.

Please run the tests that I suggested. If that doesn't point to a problem, then upload all memory dumps and we'll see what they say. If, as I suspect, they're pointing at hardware, we'll suggest the free hardware diagnostics here: Hardware Diags

I'm wondering if this has been solved or if I just can't see the second page or etc.
