    BSOD when sleep/hibernate.


    I have been looking at others with this problem and they seem to have all sorts of differ net fixes. I'm not sure what is causing the problem for me so any help would be greatly appreciated. Information on my laptop is on my profile.

    There are no memory dumps in the uploaded files, please do the following:
    Upload Dump Files:
    NOTE: If using a disk cleaning utility, please stop using it while we are troubleshooting your issues.
    Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the contents of the folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
    Left click on the first minidump file.
    Hold down the "Shift" key and left click on the last minidump file.
    Right click on the blue highlighted area and select "Send to"
    Select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and note where the folder is saved.
    Upload that .zip file with your next post.

    If you have issues with "Access Denied" errors, try copying the files to your desktop and zipping them up from there. If it still won't let you zip them up, post back for further advice.

    If you don't have anything in that folder, please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.DMP. If you find it, zip it up and upload it to a free file hosting service. Then post the link to it in your topic so that we can download it.

    Also, search your entire hard drive for files ending in .dmp, .mdmp, and .hdmp. Zip up any that you find and upload them with your next post.

    Then, follow the directions here to set your system for Minidumps (much smaller than the MEMORY.DMP file): Set MiniDumpMore info on dump file options here: Overview of memory dump file options for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2
    Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).
    Please uninstall the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): DuplexSecure - FAQ

    Some free alternatives (I don't use them, so I can't comment on them)

    MagicISO - Convert BIN to ISO, Create, Edit, Burn, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter/extractor/editor

    SBRE is having configuration issues - it's most likely a part of your Sunbelt Software Firewall. Please uninstall it. If you want to keep it, please download a fresh copy of the latest, Win7 compatible version and install that.

    Recently we've also seen problems with Hotspot Shield. Please uninstall that also.

    Thankyou alot! I removed both daemon tools and hotspot shield. I think hotspot was the culprit because it was installed recently. Thanks again

Hey, I've got a new ASUS gaming laptop with W7 64-bit OEM and I've been getting a few BSOD errors while bringing my laptop out of sleep/hibernate. Its not always but its often enough to be a nuisance. My drivers are all up to date so I'm really confused as to what can be causing this, any help...
