    STOP error 7f random occurance

We have several systems running that are very intermittently (somewhere around every 48 hours of runtime) having the exact same stop error. Analysis of the memory dumps reveals the following Bugcheck. This is consistent across multiple machines.

Can anyone confirm my reading of this as a conflict between Hasplms.exe and Morphis.sys
HaspLMS is a license manager for USB security keys
Morphis.sys is the drivers for the Matrox Morphis video board.

The systems run Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit, 2 Gb Ram
Motherboard is MB800V which uses Intel chipset 845GV
    Pentium 4 Cpu

    Any advice?

    Code:

    *******************************************************************************
    * *
    * Bugcheck Analysis *
    * *
    *******************************************************************************

    UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP (7f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
    If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
    use .trap on that value
    Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
    Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: 00000008, EXCEPTION_DOUBLE_FAULT
    Arg2: 801c6000
    Arg3: 00000000
    Arg4: 00000000

The dump blames a driver named Morphis.sys
It seems to belong to a Matrox device (?video?)

Beyond that we'll need this info to analyze it further: https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tructions.html

There are no memory dumps in the uploaded files, so my assistance will be limited. Please see if you can locate the missing memory dump files:
    Upload Dump Files:
NOTE: If using a disk cleaning utility, please stop using it while we are troubleshooting your issues.
Please go to C:\Windows\Minidump and zip up the contents of the folder. Then upload/attach the .zip file with your next post.
Left click on the first minidump file.
Hold down the "Shift" key and left click on the last minidump file.
Right click on the blue highlighted area and select "Send to"
Select "Compressed (zipped) folder" and note where the folder is saved.
Upload that .zip file with your next post.

If you have issues with "Access Denied" errors, try copying the files to your desktop and zipping them up from there. If it still won't let you zip them up, post back for further advice.

If you don't have anything in that folder, please check in C:\Windows for a file named MEMORY.DMP. If you find it, zip it up and upload it to a free file hosting service. Then post the link to it in your topic so that we can download it.

Also, search your entire hard drive for files ending in .dmp, .mdmp, and .hdmp. Zip up any that you find and upload them with your next post.

Then, follow the directions here to set your system for Minidumps (much smaller than the MEMORY.DMP file): Set MiniDumpMore info on dump file options here: Overview of memory dump file options for Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008 R2
You only have 4 updates since SP1 - most systems have from 75 to 130. Please visit Windows Update and get all available Windows Updates.

Your Intel Multimedia Audio Controller doesn't have any drivers installed. Please visit the manufacturer's website to download/install these drivers.

You have both Microsoft Security Essentials and AdAware Antivirus installed. Please uninstall one of them. Then update the other and perform a full system scan (in case they let any virus' slip by).

    Genport.SYS Mon Apr 20 13:38:47 1998 (353B8827)
    MapMem.SYS Thu Jan 09 09:26:08 1997 (32D50000)
These drivers date from the 1990's and aren't compatible with Win7. They were manufactured by 3dfx Interactive and may also be associated with the Matrox Morphis software.

Remove them from your system immediately.
If they are still needed, you must obtain Wni7 compatible drivers to install.

Intel PRO/100 Adapter NDIS 5.1 driver dates from 2007 and must be updated from the Intel Download Center ( http://downloadcenter.intel.com ) It's most likely this link (but the adapter is very old, so there may continue to be problems): http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...apter&lang=eng

The Rainbow Tech/SafeNet USB Security Device drivers date from 2008 and must be replaced with Win7 compatible versions also. If you're unable to obtain them, please uninstall the software and remove the device from your system.

Morphis.sys dates from 2009 and is a part of the driver package for your Matrox video. Please update this to the latest Win7 compatible version. If none is available, please uninstall it and use the default Windows drivers.

If the above steps don't stop the BSOD's, please zip up and upload any new memory dumps with your next post - and we'll see what we can figure out from there.

The following info is just FYI, I've already addressed the issues that I saw in the above paragraphs
