Random Blue Screen for no reason today, dump and system report inside.

Hey guys, been awhile since i been here but im back sadly and worried...So ima explain best i can what i did that maybe caused the BSOD. First off my cpu is OC but barely and no voltage changes and has been that way for 3 or so months. By default it runs at 3.8Ghz and i just OC it to 4.0Ghz and its been running that way fine for months and its made to be OC way more so i highly doubt its that.

2nd. I do have dameon tools and i see alot of ppl say that can cause it but again, its been on pc 4 ever and never had no issues with it and it rarely gets used but it still does get used here and there.

3rd. I installed some codecs yesterday to try to get sony vegas to read a video and i probably installed 3 different codecs and some were named the same and it was the coded for a h264 or something like that, i already uninstalled that.

4th. No major changes have been made to pc, no recent windows updates, program installs or nothing has been done. Only thing i did most recently yesterday was upgraded a widget for reading GPU and its called GPU meter.

5th. Finally and im scared this might be the issue is i noticed on sony vegas ( video editing program ) that it likes to max out all my cores and i noticed the temps reached 90-94 on my cpu which really scared me but ive only used this program twice but i was thinking maybe it was damaging my cpu but not sure.

The last thing i was doing when it BSOD was i had a video uploading to facebook and firefox was open and a little dialoge box telling me how far video was done and apparently it got finished and i went to get drink and came back and BSOD was up and the pc didnt auto restart like it did before, had to force shutdown and restart.

Thats all the info i got and will upload dump files and system health report as posted to do below, ty for any info to shed some light on this.

Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller	PCI\VEN_1033&DEV_0194&SUBSYS_84131043&REV_04\4&3480BE95&0&00E6	This device is disabled.
Please explain you reasoning behind disabling the above; it would help to know what troubleshooting steps you have taken.

You had a crash over a month ago related to your XNA Common Controller Driver [XBox]. Are you using an XBOX device on your PC?

The latest crash was pointing to memory problems or driver conflicts.
    • If you are overclocking any hardware, please stop.

    • Run the boot version of Memtest86+ paying close attention to Parts 2 and 3 of the tutorial. Also, in case Memtest86+ misses anything and comes up with no errors, run the extended version of the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool for at least five passes. These you may want to run overnight since they take a long time to complete (run them an hour before bed each of the next two nights and check before going to sleep that they are still running).
         Warning
Before you proceed with the following, answer these two questions: Are you still under warranty? Does your warranty allow you to open up the machine to check hardware? If you are unsure of the answers to these questions, contact your system manufacturer. WARNING: The steps that follow can void your warranty!!!

For Part 3: If You Have Errors: If you swap any memory components, follow these steps for ESD safety:
      1. Shut down and turn off your computer.
      2. Unplug all power supplies to the computer (AC Power then battery for laptops, AC power for desktops)
      3. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds to close the circuit and ensure all power drains from components.
      4. Make sure you are grounded by using proper grounding techniques, i.e. work on an anti-static workbench, anti-static desk, or an anti-static pad. Hold something metallic while touching it to the anti-static surface, or use an anti-static wristband to attach to the anti-static material while working. If you do not have an anti-static workbench, desk, or pad, you can use your computer tower/case by finding a metal hold in it, such as a drive bay.

Once these steps have been followed, it is safe to remove and replace components within your computer.

    • Please remove Daemon Tools, as it uses a driver called dtsoftbus01.sys that is known to cause BSODs with Verifier enabled, and it prevents determining driver problems using Verifier.

Many use MagicISO - Convert BIN to ISO, Create, Edit, Burn, Extract ISO file, ISO/BIN converter/extractor/editor as well, which is free.

    • An underlying driver may be incompatible\conflicting with your system. Run Driver Verifier to find any issues. To run Driver Verifier, do the following:
      a. Backup your system and user files
      b. Create a system restore point
      c. If you do not have a Windows 7 DVD, Create a system repair disc
      d. In Windows 7:
      • Click the Start Menu
      • Type verifier in Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
      • Right click verifier and click Run as administrator
      • Put a tick in Create custom settings (for code developers) and click next
      • Put a tick in Select individual settings from a full list and click next
      • Set up the individual settings as in the image and click next
        Attachment 218133
      • Put a tick in Select driver names from a list
      • Put a tick next to all non-Microsoft drivers.
      • Click Finish.
      • Restart your computer.

If Windows cannot start in normal mode with driver verifier running, start in safe mode. If it cannot start in safe mode or normal mode, restore the system restore point using System Restore OPTION TWO.

If you are unable to start Windows with all drivers being verified or if the blue screen crashes fail to create .dmp files, run them in groups of 5 or 10 until you find a group that causes blue screen crashes and stores the blue screen .dmp files.
The idea with Verifier is to cause the system to crash, so do the things you normally do that cause crashes. After you have a few crashes, upload the crash reports for us to take a look and try to find patterns.

When you are ready to disable Verifier: Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right click Command Prompt -> Run as administrator -> Type the following command and then Enter:
      verifier /reset
      -> Restart your computer.

Ya i forgot about that crash but it was related to my xbox controller i was using. for some weird reason when i unplugged my headset and then replugged it back into the controller the pc blue screened which i found really weird but it hasnt done it since. The other things that are disabled im not honestly 100% sure what they are, i do know that a few of them are stuff i just didnt use/install for cuz it just wasnt needed when i was installing drivers and such.

Like the marvel thing i disabled cuz it wasnt being used and i believe i disabled the usb 3.0 also and the gigabit thing is something on the motherboard im not using either also so i just disabled the stuff i wasnt using but i havent had a blue screen since last one. Im just assuming was something with the codecs i had installed which i have uninstalled or just something totally random.

Hmm well if its memory problemsi have noticed for some weird reason while just on desktop my Ram will show almost 10gbs out of 16gb are in use when nothing is on the screen..ill close out firefox and that dropped it down to around 8-9 which i still found strangely high but if i restarted PC it would be around 1.7-2gb which is normal i think but it seems random when it does it. And driver issues, i havent really installed nothing except them codecs but maybe with the info i gave can narrow down to maybe what else it could be possibly, thanks for the input and info so far :)

    You're welcome.

High use of RAM when you have 16 GB is normal, I believe. The system tries to utilize what it can to make things run faster. Most likely, you are running a lot of Windows components in the RAM to speed things up, so the high usage is not really a concern to me.

Let us know if you find anything useful. :)
